ALASKA AWARENESS INITIATIVE
End the Silence. Know the Truth.
Trafficked.kNOw.More is a non-profit organization founded by a group of individuals who are deeply committed to supporting those affected by human trafficking. We believe that this scourge should be unacceptable in any community and the community working together is the only way to eliminate modern-day slavery.
Human trafficking is modern-day slavery in which people are exploited for labor or commercial sex through force, fraud, or coercion.

Alaska’s vast wilderness, extensive coastline, and harsh environment allow human traffickers to isolate and control victims more effectively.

Alaska Native teens and young adults traveling from villages to urban centers are documented to be approached by traffickers within 72 hours.

A low estimate of 500,000 predators are online daily and reach out within 48 hours of the first time a child, teen, or young adult creates a social media profile.
